Maricar shares health secrets to good health and long life

You always learn something from your elders.

In a recent post, actress Maricar Reyes Poon shared some food advice that she picked up from her Chinese in laws and shared the secret to good health and long life to her followers.

According to the #chinese , certain foods either warm u up, or cool u down. buko is a “cool down” fruit, while kalamansi is a “warm” fruit.

Coconut is known for being the fruit of life since basically, all its parts can be used for various purposes, but mainly because of health benefits derived from the fruit such as obesity prevention, improved digestion, and high dietary fiber.

It also boosts energy and heart health.

Meanwhile, calamansi is great for detox, as well as added flavor. It is mainly used to amp up the flavor of dishes and quenching thirst especially during the summer. (ANGEL ONG)
