Rainfall recorded in northern Mindanao after cloud-seeding
NORTHERN MINDANAO, the region most affected by El Niño, has started experiencing light to moderate rainfall beginning last week following cloud-seeding operations, according to the Department of Agriculture (DA).
In a statement issued by the department, engineer Henry Cacayan, head of the cloud-seeding team of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), explained that the on-going operation in the region follows up on 45 hours of seeding costing P2.4 million that started earlier this year.
Operations were suspended before Easter.
