Erwan Heusaff’s locally grown, healthy rice variant

Food enthusiast and blogger Erwan Heusaff encourages his followers to support local farmers and switch to this locally grown, healthy rice variant.

The Fat Kid Inside shared on his Instagram page how adlai can be a better option than traditional rice variants.

“Adlai, also known as Chinese Barley, is a gluten free grain that’s pretty low in the glycemic index and is in my mind, comparable, nutrition wise, to a complex dark rice. It grows naturally in the Philippines, unlike many rice variants with plant or import and its cultivation can be beneficial for the environment and local tribal communities”, he said.
