Months later, Jollibee released a video entitled “Crush”, featuring a guy who left sticky notes along with a Yum! Burger to express his hidden affection for the girl. The Facebook video has been viewed 9 million as of posting with almost 600 thousand reactions.

Similarities between the two video ads include the school setting, the locker scene, book-dropping and the sticky notes concept were noted by netizens.

Meanwhile, Art Director Vincent Quilop of McCann, the agency behind the viral Jollibee ads, had previously expressed his voice on the alleged “ripoff” of its “Vow” ad to rival McDonald’s Huling El Bimbo video.
