What Robinsons Supermarket’s flyers don’t tell you
Groceries regularly put items on specials to give customers a reason for coming back.
Robinsons Supermarket has this “Wow! Low, Low Prices” gimmick that has never piqued my interest. It doesn’t tell you how much the pork, chicken, fish actually cost, opting instead to tell you that they are giving you a P10 discount that never meant a thing. Let’s face it: they can just hike the price by P20 and snip it by P10 and pretend and believe they are doing us a favor.
Plus, Robinsons Super market’s Wow-gimmick never tells you the better buys they have. I was walking around Robinsons Place in Las Piñas and found really good deals.
The ground beef is only P188 per kilo from P200. Even at the regular price of P200 a kilo, the ground beef is still a good buy because beef costs around P260 a kilo. They also snipped P10 off the lean ground beef which is now just P300 from P310. The ground beef is from Robina Farms, a sister company.
Robinsons Supermarket in Las Piñas also slashed the price of its pork tapa by P12 a kilo. It’s now just P259 from P279 a kilo. It’s also from Robina Farms.
This batch of Wow! Low, Low Prices-gimmick lasts until March 16.
Personally, I’d go for the ground beef. Time to make some meatballs.
