Restaurants partner with netizens in feeding the needy for the holidays
The holiday spirit is infectious and even food establishments are getting into holiday mode with their willingness to share.
Reaching out via social media to these establishments, it seems like netizens are getting more creative with their effort to get these restaurants and shops to sponsor outreach activities to feed families in need this Christmas.
Netizen Mike Brosas recently posted a convo he had with Farron Cafe’s admins in which the cafe agreed to sponsor the feeding of at least 50 children this Christmas in exchange for reaching the goal of at least 5,000 likes and 5,000 shares on their post. Farron has already reached the goal with over 15,000 reactions and over 5,000 shares.
Onyang’s Street Wings also gamely responded to a request of one of their loyal customers to provide 100 hamburgers for the streetchildren of Naic, Cavite if the goal of 5,000 likes and 5,000 shares is achieved.
The restaurant agreed to provide chicken pops with rice or fries, which is a more filling meal for the hungry kids, instead of burgers but with an addendum of 3,000 likes for their FB page. These goals are easily achieved once netizens set their mind to it.
So far, the post has garnered over 8,000 likes already and already has 4,333 shares. God bless these establishments. (ANGEL ONG)
