Jollibee’s limited edition Coke in can draws fire from netizens

While overseas, Jollibee is winning the hearts of Pinoys and foreigners alike, the nation’s favorite bee is known to make a fumble every now and then when it comes to home soil.

In its recent attempt to hype up their partnership with Coca Cola with the release of their limited edition Jollibee Coke in Can for P45, things turned sideways quite quickly.

While there were some who celebrated the limited edition collectible, there were those who dismissed the product as impractical because it was nearly the price of a 1.5 liter Coke. Some were underwhelmed with the reveal and said that the Jollibee edition should just be sold in the branches to make it more convenient for customers.

The netizens over at Twitter were even more enraged, saying that no one really asked for this collectible and that this will only add to the growing pollution because the cans will eventually be sent to the trash. Twitter users even raised the ongoing issue on contractualization and said that what people were actually were asking for was an end to the practice and not the overpriced Coke in can.

We’re pretty sure Jollibee didn’t see this response coming when it unveiled their campaign. (ANGEL ONG)
