Batangueños troll Max’s Batangas Lomi post
When launching a region-inspired product, food establishments must always do their market research. Aside from the flavor, the price should also be a consideration.
A recent post from Max’s Restaurant announcing their latest product, Batangas Lomi which costs P169 per order, was trolled loyally by Batangueños for being overpriced. According to some of the commenters on the thread, a similar bowl of authentic Batangas Lomi only costs P50 per order and includes much more toppings than Max’s promo snap.
Some even included a pic of their Batangas Lomi in their comment to prove their point. The post, which has since been taken down by Max’s because of the negative feedback has luckily been screenshot by netizen Dana Aleisha Valin Lugo along with the post.
In all fairness to Max’s though, their might have intended to bring the flavors of Batangas to areas that don’t have direct access to it so its a pretty neat idea nonetheless.
Ironically though, the participating stores list seems to have Batangas front and center, so we will leave you to decide whether the move is a stroke of genius or an epic fail. (ANGEL ONG)
