Tips to become a #SustainableDiner for Valentine’s Day
This Valentine’s Day, share your love not only with your better half but with Mother Earth too by opting to dine sustainably.
To help you achieve this eco-friendly romantic date, WWF Philippines has several tips for you.
First off, choose meals that are sourced from local ingredients to support the livelihood of local farmers. Having seafood, veggies and fruits on your date will also result in less carbon footprint generated to contribute to climate change. Meat products have higher carbon footprint from its production than fish and veggies.
If possible, don’t use disposable plastics on your date because it just adds up to the growing volume of pollution in our oceans and landfills. Make sure that you don’t contribute to food waste because food is a precious resource.
