Mayor Goma is a big fan of provincial life
The provincial life seems to be suiting Mayor Richard Gomez quite well as he tempers his busy life in politics with the relaxation of seeing his backyard garden yield fruit.
Mayor Goma shared on his Instagram his harvest of organic petchay from his own backyard along with some help.
Richard also discovered a fondness for livestock, in particular, geese and chickens and they also live in his makeshift farm.
He currently has five geese, 4 turkeys and 35 chickens, along with two turtles. He feeds them personally when he can squeeze in the time.

In our backyard, we have 2 turtles, 4 turkeys, 5 geese, 35 chickens (and counting), the dogs are coming soon (mga guardia ni Juliana). Lucy says every time she comes home I introduce more and more animals to her we might as well give them each a name. It’s feeding time for these friends of mine w mixed grains of corn, rice, mongo, trigo and other grains na wala ko kahibaw sa ngalan. #gatubongkosaakomgamigo #walanakogiapilangmgatukongasabaankayohadloksijuliana
And what better way to enjoy the fruits of your labor than by actually enjoying them? Freshly picked coconuts make a refreshing pick me upper for a hot day filled with activities.
And the best part is that he gets to spend quiet Sundays with his beautiful ladies.
The provincial life is indeed well suited for this former city boy. (ANGEL ONG)
