Good samaritans volunteer to replace the P1K swindled from elderly vendor
Over the weekend, Facebook user An Gie Lie posted the sad experience of a fruit vendor from Naga, Cebu who was swindled after a customer paid him a fake P1,000 bill. According to the post, the elderly vendor who was initially happy with the sale, and even gave the customer P900 in change.
He was distraught when he found out that he was cheated out of P900 by the unscrupulous customer and his story immediately earned different reactions when it was picked up by the Newsgraph page.
After the story earned several angry reactions from Facebook users, there were more commenters who volunteered to replace the P1,000 that the vendor lost if they could get his contact details.
