Pinoys not allowed? Internet is abuzz over this food park exclusive to Chinese people

Filipinos are foodies at heart and it comes as no surprise that they would find food haunts on their frequent travels. Recently, the South Couple Facebook Page shared about the newly opened China Food City Alabang-Zapote Road in Las Piñas, next to the condominium complex Ohana Place.

The group shared that the complex was home to plenty of Chinese food establishments operated by Chinese nationals with purchases to be paid via reloadable cards available at the venue. The couple shared that at the time of their visit last February, the Chinese dominated facility had menus and signages printed in Chinese which makes it difficult to understand for Filipinos. There were also very few workers who spoke English or Filipino.

However, a recent update indicated that the facility has been made exclusive for Chinese patrons. There were some Filipinos on the comments section who shared that they were also turned away for the same reason. There were also those who lived nearby who shared that this was true.[0]=68.ARCknz4AdNFlAZsgk1ISTNPFGrd0FyHbcHFCJmBtXHWsCGM0H2V228eg3iaZQpd5Zdg2joBTLVliC9H3J5WCKsuoCbdnTmlVfNfYMKngWcWjeXSHWkG0gjcdLcLi_OzyFKDCFi3rpSK6UYLS0W3U-xN3z6A8hZfBfL7h-cuf-RM9Hq_Xw_Wq4IG4b7s2c2jFzRTlfVfMw511mwAlhoh5BezERVad9Dw00Z36ITFbsrP_sEMaIaD7_B6BKRodLOmRWVaV68rRgyi1ldJc9oon-z_ob8uQxLdJcARRbc5xqPThMyBD7jIQJ_H3WwTuglR707s8Zhft3On2wyQlV2ZVmXbaKDrO&__tn__=-R

Many are questioning why the Chinese would establish businesses in the Philippines but keep the services exclusive for Chinese nationals and have started criticizing the Las Piñas government to stop to this practice but the local officials have yet to respond or issue a statement. (ANGEL ONG)
