Saab Magalona takes to Twitter after being overcharged by restaurant
When you feel like something is not right, you have to speak up about it and this is exactly what Saab Magalona did when she called the attention of the Pancake House when one of its branches overcharged her by over P100 and failed to give her a receipt for her purchase.
According to Saab’s tweet, she asked her driver to pick up her order but the branch still charged her for delivery and only provided her with a charge slip instead of a receipt. She tagged the official account of The Pancake House to look into the branch’s practice since the staff could not even justify the extra charge.
Saab said that their failure to explain themselves could indicate that this was a common practice, especially for customers who do not complain for the unjust billing. The Pancake House immediately assured her that they were looking into the incident and has refunded her money as they conduct their investigation.
Netizens have been praising Saab for speaking out and suggested that she report the branch to the BIR as well for failing to provide a receipt. (ANGEL ONG)
