Stop mistreating Grabfood drivers, netizen appeals

A netizen recently posted her experience when she chanced upon a conversation happening between a man and a Grabfood driver after the customer refused to pay for his order because he claimed to have cancelled it when the Grabfood driver was already on the way.

According to the netizen, the man was telling the driver to just sell the items to another customer since he already lost patience waiting for the food to come.

The Grabfood driver was already on the verge of tears at this point, according to the netizen because that was not how the system worked and he would have to shoulder the cost of food if the customer refuses to accept them.

The netizen appealed for more understanding for Grabfood drivers because in addition to delivering the food, the drivers also need to wait in line for orders to get prepared, in addition to weaving through the traffic to get the food to the customers in time.

“Kung hindi mahaba pasensya niyo wag na kayo umorder, kayo na ho yung bumili. Okeh?” she said.

According to the netizen, she overhead the conversation because they were waiting for a cab near the place the argument took place. (ANGEL ONG)
