DAR turns over bridge to fast-track transfer of goods in Negros Oriental town
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has turned over a bridge project in Amlan, Negros Oriental to improve the transfer of goods in the province.
The 24-meter Ongon Steel Bridge now connects the sitios of Cantalina-Panusuan and Tuybo in Barangay Silab.
Around 300 agrarian reform beneficiaries in the area are expected to benefit from the project through easier transportation of their products.
The project, worth P28 million, was funded through the Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo Program of the DAR, which provided P24 million under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. The remaining P4 million was completed by the local government unit of Amlan.
