Jon Favreau, Chef Roy Choi team up in Netflix’s new food show
You may know Jon Favreau for directing the first two Iron Man movies, as well as the upcoming big screen adaptation of The Lion King. He would seem familiar because he also stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tony Stark’s right hand man Happy Hogan.
Back in 2014, Favreau wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film Chef where he played a head chef who quits his job to open up his own food truck. To do his own cooking in the film, Favreau trained with food truck genius Roy Choi, who is the success behind the popular Kogi food truck. The two seemed to enjoy working together so much that they coming together to headline Netflix’s latest food show #TheChefShow.
The concept of the show seems to revolve around the duo as they go on the road and interact with different celebrities (including Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland and Gwyneth Paltrow), locals, and chefs about culture and food. Of course, they cook a lot and eat a lot in the series too.
#TheChefShow comes to Netflix on June 7. It looks like a fun filled, and curse filled series judging by the trailer alone. We can’t wait to see what this duo cooks up (pun intended). (ANGEL ONG)
