LGBT customer laments unfair treatment at restaurant

A gay customer recently shared her sad experience of discrimination online after her receipt showed the derogatory term “bakla.”

According to Facebook user Kayecie Correa Sia, she does not understand why establishments have prejudice against LGBT customers even when they are interacting properly with the staff and also paying their dues like other customers.

The incident, which happened at a certain Ernest’s Bulalohan, Tapsihan, Paresan Atbp. was very offensive, according to the Facebook user since it showcases the general lack of respect to members of their community.

“Nag bayad umorder ng maayos ultimo sa resibo hndi pa din kmi ginagalang at may pangalan binigay ang magulang namin para isulat sa resibo na BAKLA tlga. Wala ba silang naging kaklase n bakla kapit bahay na bakla o sa pamilya nila na bakla,” she said,

Many netizens agreed and said that the owner of the restaurant should seriously address the issue among his employees. (ANGEL ONG)
