Dizon Farms, Wellcome Supermarket gets shoutout for eco-friendly packaging

With more and more establishments joining the zero waste movement, netizens continue to encourage and support these stores with shoutouts and shares on social media.

The latest to receive praise is Dizon Farms and Wellcome Supermarket in Boni, Mandaluyong for its use of banana leaves, instead of plastic to package their produce.

Not only does this practice look aesthetically pleasing and minimize plastic waste, it also attests to the freshness of the produce. Many countries in Southeast Asia are already adopting this practice and for big operations like Dizon Farms and Wellcome Supermarket to adopt this sustainable practice is already a win for sustainability.
