Look: Adobong manok, egg and rice served to supporters at Imelda Marcos’ birthday celeb
After reports that over 200 people suffered from food poisoning after partaking of the food served to loyalists at Imelda Marcos’s birthday celebration in Pasig, netizens were curious to see what type of food was prepared to cause the revelers to be rushed to the hospital.
DZMM reporter Zander Cayabyab shared through his Twitter account images of the food served to supporters, which consist of packed adobo, boiled egg and rice. They also received bottles of distilled water with a sticker thanking them for the support for the Marcoses.
In the thread, some of the Twitter users were surprised that adobo was the culprit because the dish does not spoil easily. There were others that commented that for adobo to cause such massive damage, the food preparation may have been problematic. There were those that even suggested that the food supplier could have used double dead chicken as an ingredient.
There were also those that expressed concern for those who suffered from food poisoning and wished that they would recover soon.
