Roadmap created to make Philippine goat and sheep industry competitive
The Federation of Goat and Sheep Producers Associations in the Philippines (FGASPAPI) has created a roadmap that aims to turn the Philippine goat and sheep industry into a globally competitive and sustainable sector by 2028.
Under this 10-year program, the industry targets to increase the population of goat and sheep by at least 27 percent.
It also wants to develop the per capita consumption for chevon and lamb by 1 kilogram and 0.53 kilogram respectively.
The Small Ruminant Industry Roadmap has already been submitted to Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol.
