Water level in Angat Dam improving
Water level in Angat Dam, the main source of water needs of Metro Manila, improved slightly, thanks to the rains that showered the capital throughout the weekend.
A report in Philippine Star showed that the water level at Angat Dam went up by 0.68 meter as of early Sunday morning.
Citing the latest monitoring of state weather bureau PAGASA, the report said the water elevation is now at 158.64 meters, up from 157.96 meters recorded on Saturday.
“This is the first time the dam’s water level rose since it breached the 160-meter critical mark on June 22,” the report said.
The situation in Angat Dam improved after Tropical Depression Egay hit some parts of Luzon and a low pressure area formed over the West Philippine Sea.
