With a new plant, Gardenia ramps up production in PH
With its new plant in Pampanga, Gardenia Bakeries, the country’s largest bread manufacturer, is expecting to see an increase in sales over the next three years.
A report in Manila Bulletin showed that Gardenia intends to hike its output for its low priced-loaves under Neubake brand to 40 percent.
This, according to the company, will help them meet the faster growth for this product.
Simplicio Umali Jr., president and general manager of Gardenia Philippines, said Neubake accounts for 10 percent of Gardenia’s total production.
“We intend to make that as much as 40 percent in the future because the low-income market is very large. So, we want to make this product available for them as a second brand,” Umali said in the report.
In total, the break company targets a 25 percent increase in sales this year from P6.6 billion to P8.2 billion.
