DBP provides P20M loan for construction of modern poultry project in Bicol
State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has provided P20-million credit assistance for the construction of a modern poultry building in Camarines Norte, Bicol, which is expected to sustain the region’s farm productivity.
The tunnel-ventilated poultry building, which will be funded by DBP, is owned by Amaris Farm and is located in Barangay Lugui, Labo, Camarines Norte.
DBP president and chief executive officer Emmanuel G. Herbosa said in a Manila Bulletin report that this facility is the first of its kind in the northernmost province of the Bicol region.
“We are pleased to have assisted Amaris Farm in the construction of this modern facility,” Herbosa said. “This mirrors DBP’s commitment to promote agribusiness in the countryside, contribute to food security, and promote environmental protection.”
The modern poultry building is targeted to increase Amaris Farm’s production by 45,000 chicks.
