Halal certification issued to a Purefoods facility

The facility of Purefoods Hormel Company, Inc. has obtained the halal certification that would allow its products to be exported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries.

A statement showed that Prime Group, leading quality and compliance solutions provider in Asia, Middle East and North Africa, has recently awarded halal certification to a facility of Purefoods Hormel, which produces TENDER JUICY® Chicken Franks and PUREFOODS® Corned Beef.

The collaboration between Prime Group and Purefoods Hormel is both timely and strategic as the global halal food market is expected to grow to US$922.53 billion by 2026, based on a study by Polaris Market Research.

To be specific, the certification will allow Purefoods halal-certified products to enter the UAE, the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and other international markets.

Additional products in the company’s diverse food portfolio are also expected to be available soon once they are found to be in compliance with the certification requirements.
