Jollibee opens first branch in Alberta, Canada
Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), one of the largest fast-food chains in Southeast Asia, has opened the first Jollibee branch in Alberta province, which would be the company’s fifth store in Canada.
In a statement, JFC said the latest store opening is crucial for the company to meet its goal, which is to grow its stores in Canada to 100 in five years.
By September, the company should have already opened its Calgary branch, making it the second store to open in the Alberta province.
“We are thrilled to have arrived in Alberta and are humbled by the enthusiasm we’ve felt from the local community,” said JFC’s North America Philippine Brands President Maribeth Dela Cruz in a Manila Bulletin report.
“Alberta has watched as we’ve opened stores in Winnipeg and the Greater Toronto Area over the past few years and the people here can finally say, ‘It’s Our Turn!’” she further said.
Right now, JFC is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing Asian restaurant companies with more than 4,500 stores in 21 countries.
