Zero waste advocates laud CBTL’s milk carton recycling program
With the growing problem of solid waste and plastic pollution, zero waste advocates are lauding Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s measure to collect empty milk cartons to be picked up and recycled by Tetra Pak.
Tetra Pak reportedly collects the cartons and recycles them into papers, notebooks, roofing sheets, picture frames, and other useful materials.
This means that these milk cartons find new life and are turned into something useful instead of staying in landfills.
Zero waste advocate Katrina Ibalan-Tadeo, who shared her discovery on the Buhay Zero Waste Group said that it is also a good learning opportunity for kids to save their waste for recycling.
