Good Shepherd Ube Jam turns white because of climate change
Climate change is making a huge impact across different industries. Most recently, Good Shepherd in Baguio City, home of the delicious ube jam that is often part of everyone’s pasalubong list, has announced that their products are the most recent items to be affected by climate change.
They posted their announcement on their Facebook page wherein they cited a lack of stable supply for ube, as farmers are already having difficulty growing the produce because of the changing weather conditions.
As such, they are making their ube jam out of white ube for the meantime, meaning the ube you purchase from Good Shepherd from now may taste like the original but look completely different.
Lets hope that all this is temporary and let’s do our part in reversing climate change. (ANGEL ONG)
