SM Supermarket draws flak for not providing boxes for customer purchases

The rant by a customer of SM Supermarket in San Pablo is making the rounds on the internet after he expressed frustration as SM’s new policy of not providing customers with boxes for large purchases.

According to Jap Panergayo, this poses a huge inconvenience especially for customers like him who purchase a lot but have no ecobags with them. Jap said the announcement was made on the PA system informing customers of the new policy, which makes no sense because the boxes are recycled anyway.

As a result, his normally two boxes of groceries has now been split into over 15 paper bags of goods which is inconvenient to carry and is even more detrimental to the environment.


Commenters on the thread encouraged Jap to find other supermarkets to purchase his needs in protest of this policy.
