Burger King dresses up as McDonald’s for Halloween to scare off customers
Burger King has been known to troll its main competitor McDonald’s on more than one occasion. However, their latest attempt seems to be a hands down winner.
For Halloween, a Burger King branch dressed up the establishment as a McDonald’s ghost. No joke. The brand used a huge white cloth to cover the entire building, including the signage. However, it made sure to have two holes as eyeballs near their logo so that it can peek through as a Burger King dressed up as a McDonald’s.
It even used McDonald’s signature arches to serve as the ghosts’ eyebrows. As expected, it became a trending topic on Twitter and became a feature on many news segments.
This was not the first time Burger King did something to directly troll their competitor. It even produced an ad targeted against McDonald’s and launched promos on its app to grant discounts on their Whoppers if customers order it from a McDonald’s branch.
