Shop owner calls out heartless customer who cancelled order, failed to respond

With all the incidents regarding order cancellation on Grabfood and drivers being forced to shoulder the cost of the delivery, the shop owner of Sulok Restaurant called out one such customer by posting their conversation on social media.

The owner of Sulok, Rodrigo Ang Escobar, posted his message to the unnamed customer whom the Grabfood driver said cancelled the owner and refused to receive the merchandise even though it was already completed by the establishment. When the owner tried to reach out to the customer though, the customer ghosted him and failed to respond.

While Grabfood has clarified that drivers should not be forced to shoulder the cost for no shows, the owner of Sulok recognized this and said that he refunded the money to the Grab driver and gave the food to them to enjoy instead. However, he posted the experience to share with other netizens how this sort of callous behavior affects businesses like theirs and delivery workers like Grabfood drivers.

He also reported the customer to Grab for necessary actions.
