Former McDonald’s worker celebrated as modern day Robin Hood because of ‘Grand Theft Nugget’ stunt
After Cody Bondarchuk and McDonald’s parted ways after years of employment, the employee recently came clean on social media and confessed that he added an extra nugget to every 10 piece McNugget order that came his way.
In his thread, he said that he added that extra nugget to make the customers smile a little bit more when they open their box of nugs.
Cody said that the practice became a habit for him in the past years so he just continued doing it.
Many people are celebrating Cody as a hero because of his “good deed” and even compared him to a modern day Robin Hood because of it. However, some were worried that his confession might land him in trouble because of the statute of limitations for “grant theft nuggets.”
Cody said that if he calculated the bill for all the extra nuggets he threw in, it would probably amount to $1600. Hopefully, McDonald’s sees the humor and the positive publicity that its former worker has generated for McNuggets and lets bygones be bygones.
I worked at McDonald’s for two and a half years and I put 11 nuggets in almost every 10-piece I made
