World-class designer to launch first Philippine International Flower Show
Events and floral designer Jerry Sibal, who has worked with some of the biggest international celebrities, will officially launch the first Philippine International Flower Show (PIFS).
To be held on October 15 to 18 this year, PIFS is the first show of its kind that will bring together players in the industry from government tourism, agriculture and trade officials, local government executives, farmers and horticulturists, investors in flower propagation, technology providers, to end-users like hotels and other flower enthusiasts.
“We have this great opportunity to create a new sustainable and socially-conscious industry to uplift floriculture, horticulture, business and tourism here,” said Sibal.
“There is always a possibility for growth. We only have to think big and ask ourselves how we are going to do it,” he added.
Experts from other countries like The Netherlands and Ecuador, who are known for their global tulip and rose production, respectively, will fly in for the October fair to talk about their experiences in cultivating their industries.
Sibal is also likely to offer master classes during the flower show.
