Starbucks gives out used coffee grounds as plant fertilizers
To support sustainable solutions and minimize waste, Starbucks is giving away free coffee grounds in all of its branches for patrons who want to avail of them for their gardens.
Used coffee grounds are commonly used as organic fertilizers for plants.
Starbucks has earned a lot of positive reactions for this initiative and customers have also found an alternative use for the grounds. Some have said that they use the coffee grounds as body scrubs in addition to those who use them for their gardens.
To each their own but this move is a win for the planet for sure. (ANGEL ONG)
