Beijing vlogger shares secret to no going hungry during quarantine – deliveries!
A Chinese vlogger shared some insight into how life was like for 800,000 people who were quarantined in Beijing to stop the rise of Novel Coronavirus (COVID19) in the country.
According to the vlogger, they never went hungry because food deliveries remained open. While the restaurants remained closed for diners, they still remained operational for deliveries.
The food delivery companies also included a contactless food delivery option where delivery men simply leave the food on a designated spot where they don’t have to meet face to face. After the driver informs the customer that the food has arrived, the customer simply takes the order which has been paid for through app.
The delivery service was so in demand that even waiters who were out of work because of the lockdowns turned to food deliveries to earn income.
Again we say, frontliners for the win. (ANGEL ONG)
