QC gov’t opens BYOB condiment refilling station to minimize plastic waste
The Quezon City local government recently opened the doors to its Bring our Own Bottle Store as part of its commitment to actively promote sustainable initiatives and reduce the generation of plastic waste.
In partnership with Nutri Asia, customers can bring their own bottles to purchase refills of condiments such as vinegar, soy sauce, and cooking oil.
“Our city government is committed to environmental sustainability and has recently passed City Ordinance 2876 which prohibits the use of single-use plastics,” the local government said in its official announcement.
The store is located at the Quezon City Hall and is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. (ANGEL ONG)
