Nuns cut own food allowance to donate food to hungry neighbors

The virtue of compassion is alive and well for the nuns of Sisters of Charity of St. Charles Borromeo as the sisters literally crossed fences to deliver goods to their less fortunate neighbors in Tagaytay City.

In a post by CBCP News, the nuns could be seen climbing up a ladder while nearby residents waited for them on the roof of their houses. The nuns distributed food items from their own supply to help however they can in the time of the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine.

“The nuns assigned at the congregation’s formation house cut their food allowance in order to provide aid to some families that have been hit hard by Covid-19 lockdown,” the CBCP said. (ANGEL ONG)
