Grab Food driver laments discrimination against delivery workers
A Grab Food rider recently shared his thoughts on social media regarding stereotypes regarding his work.
According to rider Brian Tabuzo, he often gets asked by people why he chose to do deliveries even though he could land better jobs because he reached college level education.
He lamented people’s low regard for delivery workers and said that he willingly chose to the job because it was a decent source of livelihood that provided for his family’s needs.
He said that while people saw their work as easy, it also had its challenges such as fake bookings, and accidents. However, he said they should not be discriminated for being lowly workers because they are doing their best to earn a decent living without resorting to illegal means.
Don’t worry, Brian. There are plenty of people who appreciate your work as a frontliner, especially during this time of crisis. Our Food Evolution team salutes you. Thank you!
