PH gov’t launches farm-to-market digital app
As part of the Philippine government’s COVID-19 efforts, the Department of Agriculture (DA) will launch today the “eKadiwa” digital marketing app, which will directly link farm producers to consumers.
The DA said that through the “eKadiwa.da.gov.ph”, consumers need not leave their respective homes during these challenging times.
“With their mobile phone simply key in their order of preferred farm and fishery products like fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and many more,” the agency said.
The “eKadiwa.da.gov.ph” forms part of the DA’s food security and resiliency initiative under the “Plant, Plant, Plant Program.
Among the DA’s initial partners under the “eKadiwa.da.gov.ph” are Zagana, Inc. – Joshua Aragon; AgriNurture, Inc. – Antonio Tiu; Benjabi Ventures Corp. – Abigail Tan Sun; and Mober, Inc. – Dennis Ng.
Transport and delivery service providers Lalamove and Grab also signified to join the DA eKadiwa initiative.
